Does MoveMD Work? (My 2024 Review)

Finding the right supplement to support joint health can be challenging, with so many options available. That's why I decided to try MoveMD, a product claiming to offer relief and improved mobility for those dealing with joint discomfort. But does it live up to the hype?

In this review, I'll break down MoveMD's ingredients, benefits, and potential drawbacks to help you make a well-informed choice. Whether you're an athlete, a senior, or just looking to stay active without pain, understanding what MoveMD has to offer could be the key to unlocking better joint health.

Pros

  • It can help patients experiencing joint discomfort or pain due to an autoimmune condition like arthritis.
  • Contains several useful compounds.
  • Suitable for people of all ages.

Cons

  • Has an extremely high price tag.
  • It may induce adverse effects such as nausea.
  • The majority of the component dosages are too low to be effective.
  • Many say it does not affect their joint health or pain levels.
  • Customers have complained about the capsules' size, the bottle's inability to contain the correct quantity of capsules, and the failure to honor the money-back guarantee.

Quick Verdict

On the surface, MoveMD is a solid joint health supplement that contains ingredients with proven positive effects on different joint conditions. However, on closer inspection and based on my experience, I see that the critically low doses are not enough to produce meaningful results.

The synergistic effects and comprehensive nature of the whole formulation may help some people, but with the high price and questionable practices customers frequently complain about, I cannot justify buying MoveMD again.

Instead, I would recommend FlexAgain, which has a well-formulated and, most importantly, properly-dosed joint health mix.

Who Is MoveMD By 1MD Nutrition™?

MoveMD by 1MD Nutrition™ targets individuals who want to support and maintain joint health. This supplement is primarily designed for those experiencing joint discomfort or wishing to prevent potential joint issues as they age.

1MD Nutrition™ aims to improve people's lives via science and nature, providing innovative health supplements and wellness information.

They prioritize compassion, community, and quality in their GMP-compliant facilities in the United States, where they only use the highest-quality, clinically researched components.

Their dedication to purity and potency ensures that their supplements provide outstanding health benefits, exemplifying their objective to help people live longer and better lives.

It’s quite popular among athletes, active individuals, and seniors looking to enhance their mobility and overall joint well-being.

MoveMD Ingredients

AprésFlex Boswellia Serrata Gum Resin Extract – 100 mg

Boswellia Serrata, found predominantly in India and the Punjab region of Pakistan, is well-known for its medicinal properties. Historically, its resin has been used in traditional medicine to alleviate a myriad of ailments.

The standout benefit of Boswellia Serrata is its ability to help reduce joint pain and inflammation. Studies highlight its potential in treating osteoarthritis. With a 100 mg dose in MoveMD, it aims to provide an anti-inflammatory advantage [1].

But, research indicates that a daily intake of around 1,000 mg is optimal for achieving maximal Boswellia Serrata benefits. This suggests that while the 100 mg included in MoveMD can offer some advantages, it might not be as effective unless combined with other potent ingredients.

Even with the lower dosage, it's valuable to consider that MoveMD complements this with other synergistic components to amplify joint health benefits.

Zanthin Natural Astaxanthin Algae Extract – 2 mg

Astaxanthin is a powerhouse anti-inflammatory and antioxidant derived from algae, making it central to many wellness supplements. Its primary role is reducing oxidative stress and safeguarding cells from damage, which is crucial for maintaining healthy joints.

Astaxanthin boasts other potential benefits, ranging from improving cardiovascular health to enhancing skin elasticity. But when it comes to joint health, it's particularly praised for protecting connective tissues and possibly aiding in DNA repair.

Interestingly, research suggests that for Astaxanthin to be truly effective, one would need to consume between 6 and 8 mg daily [2]. The 2 mg provided in MoveMD is probably insufficient.

Types I, V & X Eggshell Membrane Collagen – 100 mg

Collagen, particularly from eggshell membranes, is a vital protein supporting connective tissue health. Types I, V, and X collagen found in MoveMD work together to enhance joint function and repair cartilage.

Numerous studies back the efficacy of these collagen types in reducing joint pain, improving mobility, and even aiding in healing cartilage. These benefits are essential for anyone from athletes to seniors looking to maintain an active lifestyle without joint pain.

However, these studies also show that a dose of around 500 mg is typically needed to observe significant benefits.

With only 100 mg included, MoveMD falls short of this benchmark. Even though the lower dose, the formula's comprehensive nature ensures some joint health benefits, though individual results may vary [3].

Type II Chicken Sternum Collagen – 280 mg

Type II collagen, sourced from chicken sternum, is particularly known for its role in joint health. It supports cartilage production and can improve the elasticity and flexibility of joints, which is crucial for maintaining pain-free movement.

Research highlights that a much larger daily intake, approximately 2.5 grams, is necessary to see substantial results. MoveMD's 280 mg content is too minuscule to provide noticeable results [4].

Hyaluronic Acid – 25 mg

Hyaluronic acid is celebrated for its ability to retain moisture, an essential property that benefits joint lubrication and mobility. It's commonly found in joint supplements due to its effectiveness in reducing joint pain and enhancing flexibility, especially in the knees.

Beyond joint health, hyaluronic acid also promotes skin elasticity and reduces signs of aging, making it a versatile ingredient.

But, optimal dosage studies suggest 200 mg daily to achieve these benefits, which far exceeds the 25 mg present in MoveMD [5]. This means that while hyaluronic acid contributes to the joint health goal of the formula, its effects might be limited when taken on its own at this dosage.

MoveMD Price

Price is an important factor when considering a joint health supplement like MoveMD. Although MoveMD is among the more expensive supplements in its category, the company offers deals like bulk purchases and subscription options that make the price more competitive.

The MoveMD supplement is available on the official website for $49 for a one-month supply, $129 for a three-month supply, and $222 for a six-month supply, which equates to $1.63, $1.43, and $1.23 per serving, respectively.

Subscriptions are also available, which provide a 20%, 30%, or 40% discount depending on whether you buy one, three, or six bottles at once.

MoveMD Benefits

Reduces Joint Discomfort

MoveMD is designed to provide relief from joint discomfort, particularly for individuals suffering from conditions like arthritis.

The product claims to lessen pain and discomfort in as little as five days, allowing consumers to see a significant improvement in their joint health and general comfort.

Enhances Joint Flexibility and Mobility

One of MoveMD's primary benefits is its ability to improve joint flexibility and mobility. The ingredients in MoveMD work together to support the health and function of the joints, making movements smoother and less painful.

Supports Healthy Inflammation Response

MoveMD includes ingredients like AprésFlex Boswellia Serrata Extract, known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Chronic inflammation is a common cause of joint pain and stiffness, and addressing this issue is crucial for long-term joint health.

Suitable for All Ages

MoveMD is designed for people of all ages, making it a versatile option for anyone looking to improve their joint health. Whether you're a young athlete dealing with sports-related joint issues or an older adult facing age-related joint deterioration, MoveMD can offer tangible benefits.

Free from Common Allergens

MoveMD is formulated without common allergens like peanuts, shellfish, and wheat. This makes it a safe choice for individuals with allergies or dietary restrictions, ensuring that more people can benefit from its joint-supporting properties without adverse reactions.

Money-Back Guarantee

To provide additional assurance, MoveMD comes with a 90-day money-back guarantee. This allows users to try the supplement risk-free and see if it works for their needs. If unsatisfied, customers can return the product for a full refund, making it a more attractive option for those hesitant about trying new supplements.

Who Is MoveMD For?

People Suffering From Joint Pain

From my observations, MoveMD is primarily aimed at individuals experiencing joint pain or discomfort. The official website features multiple testimonials and videos where users claim they noticed significant improvements in these areas within just a week.

Whether you're an athlete dealing with the wear and tear of rigorous training or someone experiencing age-related joint issues, MoveMD offers potential relief.

But it's essential to keep in mind that supplements can work differently for everyone. While some users report rapid improvements, others may need more extended periods to notice changes. For example, I felt no improvement after 30 days with MoveMD.

Anyone Who Wants To Improve Their Joint Health

Interestingly, MoveMD is not just for those already experiencing joint issues. If you are proactive about your health and want to support your joints before any problems arise, this supplement might be a good addition to your daily regimen.

According to various videos and user stories, taking MoveMD daily can help maintain your joint health by preventing damage and stiffness.

My Experience With MoveMD

When I first stumbled upon MoveMD, my expectations were cautiously optimistic. As someone who has been into serious weightlifting and grappling for years, my joints have taken a beating.

While this is a price I would pay again, joint health supplements are a frequent part of my routine to help me maintain my active lifestyle.

I've tried quite a few joint pain supplements, so I have a solid base with which to compare MoveMD.

The first thing I noticed was the product's high price, but I thought it could be justified by the interesting ingredients and advertised benefits.

Despite my expectations, my trial was less than satisfying.

When I received the bottle, I noticed that the pills were huge and difficult to swallow. This wasn't a big impediment at first, but it did cause some discomfort in my everyday routine.

I took the capsule as directed every morning, anticipating to experience some improvements in joint health and pain levels.

Unfortunately, despite a month of constant use, I saw no meaningful improvement in my condition. My hip and knee pain remained constant, with no noticeable relief or improvement in mobility. The lack of effects was disheartening, especially given the supplement's high cost.

In addition, a few times, I had mild nausea shortly after ingesting the capsules. While this adverse effect was not significant, it contributed to my overall disappointment with the product.

The expensive price, lack of performance, and annoying side effects convinced me that MoveMD was not worth the money.

MoveMD Customers Reviews

When I delved into customer reviews for MoveMD, I discovered a plethora of insights that shed light on the supplement's real-world efficacy.

The MoveMD supplement currently has an average review rating of 3.8 out of 5 stars on Amazon. This is based on feedback from customers who completed a verified purchase and left a review on the site, and the score does not speak too well of the product.

When looking at people who did give good reviews for the supplement, a frequent theme appeared to be that it could help people with chronic health issues, such as knee osteoarthritis, by improving their pain and mobility. However, the majority of people reported that the effects were minor.

However, when I looked at customers who left a negative review after making a verified purchase, I found a far wider spectrum of difficulties.

While some consumers claim it made no difference in their joint health or discomfort, others criticize the product's price, capsule size, receiving just half the claimed number of capsules, and the brand's failure to honor the advertised money-back guarantee.

Some consumers said that the pills produced water retention, nausea, rashes, itching, allergic reactions, and leg swelling, which made walking difficult. It even made the discomfort worse.

MoveMD Side Effects

Digestive Issues

Several users have mentioned experiencing mild gastrointestinal issues such as stomach upset, bloating, and diarrhea. These symptoms are typically temporary and dissipate as your body adjusts to the supplement.

The presence of ingredients like Astaxanthin, known for its strong antioxidant properties, might provoke such reactions in sensitive individuals.

Headaches

Another commonly reported side effect is headaches. This could be attributed to the body's response to the supplement's antioxidant properties. While headaches are usually mild and short-lived, they could be a sign to adjust the dosage or consult with a healthcare professional.

Allergic Reactions

Allergic reactions to MoveMD are rare but possible. Some individuals might be allergic to one or more ingredients, such as Boswellia Serrata. Symptoms could range from mild skin rashes to more severe reactions like swelling or difficulty breathing. If you experience any allergic symptoms, it's important to discontinue use immediately and seek medical advice.

Joint Pain Increase

Ironically, some users have reported a temporary increase in joint pain. This could be due to the body's initial response to new anti-inflammatory agents. But, if the pain persists, it's wise to consult a healthcare provider to rule out other underlying conditions.

Ingredient-Specific Reactions

Boswellia Serrata

Boswellia Serrata has been included for its potential to reduce inflammation and support joint health. While effective for many, this ingredient might cause mild digestive issues or skin reactions. Its benefits often outweigh these minor side effects, but individual reactions may vary.

Hyaluronic Acid

Known for its moisture-retaining properties, Hyaluronic Acid is generally safe. But, in rare cases, it could lead to mild skin conditions or digestive upset. The body's reaction to this ingredient is usually minimal and temporary.

Zanthin® Natural Astaxanthin

Renowned for its antioxidant capabilities, Astaxanthin is a vital component of MoveMD. Nonetheless, its potency may cause initial detox-like symptoms such as mild headaches or gastrointestinal discomfort.

Given the variability in individual reactions, it is wise to consult a healthcare professional before starting MoveMD.

They can offer personalized advice and help identify specific ingredients that might not align with your health profile. This step is especially critical if you have pre-existing conditions or are taking other medications.

MoveMD Alternatives

FlexAgain

FlexAgain is easily one of the best joint supplements on the market. It contains Boswellia extract, which we've already discussed, and is mixed with potent ingredients like vitamin D, vitamin K2, glucosamine, and chondroitin sulfate. This combination enables it to support joint health from multiple angles.

Whether you are suffering from joint pain or stiffness, muscle soreness, or even conditions like arthritis, this supplement can address these issues fairly quickly. Beyond joint health, its ingredients also benefit various body parts in different ways.

For instance, vitamin D and K2 benefit bone health, while glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are known to improve joint function and reduce pain.

I found FlexAgain to be particularly effective in reducing joint discomfort and enhancing mobility. Users who took this supplement reported significant improvement within a few weeks.

Osteo Bi-Flex Triple Strength

Osteo Bi-Flex Triple Strength is another supplement that blends Boswellia with ingredients like vitamin D, glucosamine, and chondroitin. Although the doses in Osteo Bi-Flex Triple Strength are lower than those in some top-tier supplements, this is reflected in its more affordable price tag.

This is particularly noteworthy for a supplement containing glucosamine and chondroitin, making it one of the better options for individuals experiencing joint pain and shopping on a tight budget. It provides a reasonable balance of efficacy and cost, which can be a deciding factor for many consumers.

From my experience, Osteo Bi-Flex Triple Strength offers moderate relief for joint discomfort and stiffness, but it might take a bit longer to notice significant improvements compared to higher-dose alternatives.

Joint Food

Joint Food is another strong contender in the realm of joint health supplements. This product features a blend of glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM (methylsulfonylmethane), and additional vitamins and minerals essential for joint health. MSM is known for its anti-inflammatory benefits, which add an extra layer of effectiveness.

One standout point about Joint Food is its comprehensive ingredient profile. It doesn't just focus on one element of joint health but provides a multifaceted approach.

For instance, glucosamine and chondroitin work together to support cartilage health, while MSM helps reduce inflammation and pain.

I found Joint Food to be particularly beneficial for individuals with chronic joint issues or conditions like arthritis. Users have reported considerable improvement in joint flexibility and a decrease in pain levels. It's a well-rounded supplement that caters to the varied needs of those seeking to improve their joint health.

By exploring these alternatives, you can find a joint health supplement that fits your specific needs and budget, ensuring you achieve the best possible results for your joint health goals.

Summary

1MD Nutrition claims that their MoveMD capsules are one of the best joint supplements and may help people of all ages combat joint pain and difficulties. However, my experience indicates differently, and I wouldn't trust the product again to relieve my joint pain.

Instead, I will return to FlexAgain, which has proven to be the most effective joint supplement I have tried.
